Get ready for another stellar week if you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber – for a host of new games are about to hit the service.
Starting tomorrow, April 3rd 2025, four more titles are joining the ever-expanding library, offering a fantastic mix of high-octane looting, critically acclaimed strategy, chilling horror, and adorable puzzling.
Leading the charge is a massive AAA looter-shooter, while three fantastic indie titles expand their availability to more Game Pass members. Let’s dive in!
Arriving New on April 3rd
Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC – All Tiers)
Lock, load, and loot!
The mayhem-fueled world of Borderlands 3 arrives on Game Pass in its Ultimate Edition form. This means you get the full base game plus likely a vault-load of DLC content, including extra campaigns, cosmetics, and more. Prepare for billions of guns, insane Vault Hunters, and non-stop chaotic action across the galaxy.
We enjoyed the core loop back in the day, stating in our review: “the Borderlands loop is so addictive, sometimes it doesn’t need to floor expectations for you to enjoy every single second of gameplay… It delivers on its promise and then some.“
Expanding to Game Pass Standard (Console) on April 3rd
The following three titles, potentially familiar to some Game Pass Ultimate or PC members, are now becoming available for Game Pass Standard members on console, broadening their reach:
Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series X|S – Standard Tier)
Brace yourself for atmospheric dread. From the creators at The Chinese Room comes this first-person narrative horror set on a collapsing oil rig in the North Sea. No weapons, no powers – just your wits and determination against the elements and an unknowable horror.
We were captivated, awarding it 4.5/5 in our review: “what it does do is provide a masterful piece of tight storytelling, full of heart, mystery, and suspense… Still Wakes the Deep doesn’t disappoint.”
Note: This is for Xbox Series X|S consoles.
Wargroove 2 (Console – Standard Tier)
Strategy fans, rejoice!
Chucklefish’s brilliant turn-based tactics game, heavily inspired by Advance Wars, marches onto the Standard console tier. Command armies, utilise unique Commander abilities (Grooves), and conquer your foes across land, sea, and air.
We loved Wargroove 2, giving it 4.5/5: “If you like a strategy game, Wargroove 2 is an easy sell, but even if you’re new to the scene, I urge you to have a go. There really is a lot of fun to be had here.“
All You Need is Help (Console – Standard Tier)
Previously launched into Game Pass, this delightfully charming co-op puzzle game now expands its reach to Standard tier members on console. Work together with strangely shaped friends to solve physics-based puzzles in a world that demands cooperation.
Prepare Your Downloads
It’s another fantastic week for Game Pass, offering something for almost everyone. Whether you’re blasting psychos in Borderlands 3, surviving offshore horrors in Still Wakes the Deep, commanding armies in Wargroove 2, or puzzling with pals in All You Need is Help, make sure your console is ready to download these great additions.
What’s Next For Game Pass?
There’s more to come too.
The week of April 7th adds in Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (April 8), as well as three Day One drops in the form of South of Midnight (April 8), Commandos: Origins (April 9) and Blue Prince (April 10).
The week after that sees Hunt Showdown 1896 land on the PC service too.
Of course, games will have to leaver to make room for all these, and come April 15th you’ll need to say goodbye to…

- Coral Island
- Harold Halibut
- Homestead Arcana
- Kona
- Orcs Must Die! 3
- Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition
