The Venue Director will be responsible for the successful and profitable running of the Sunderland venues; The Place, Gaming Houses and new Arena (opening Q1 2026).
They will ensure that clients, guests, students and lecturers, receive the highest standard of service and an outstanding experience. The role holder will provide visible and strategic leadership fostering a high performance, positive culture of teamwork, communication, and cooperation.
The Head of Marketing will implement the annual marketing strategies for the British Esports Federation (BEF) and its sub-brands, the National Esports Performance Campus (NEPC) and the British Arena (opening Q1 2026).
This will require implementation through leadership of the marketing team and collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team. The role holder will create a calendar of campaigns and events, develop brand strategy, prepare the marketing budget and analyse the market and competitors.
Under the guidance of the Head of Operations, the Sales and Events Coordinator will arrange events, bookings and optimise event revenues streams for the Sunderland premises, alongside online events. These will include but not be limited to British Esports Federation (BEF) events and projects, gaming house bookings, group away days, support with bids and for the incubator, coordinating the learning space, virtual/ augmented reality rooms, boot camps and catering for events.
The successful candidate will administrate British Esports’ on-site and off-site tournaments, events, and pilots, reporting to the Head of Operations and working alongside the other members of the Student Champs and education team.
The role involves administering and developing the British Esports Student Champs tournament, assisting with wider international and national tournament and events from concept to completion, and other operations projects.
