A look at the Tekken 8 Rank Distribution for July 2025 after the release of the version 2.03.1 update and DLC character Fakhurham. Where do you rank?
We take a look at the Tekken 8 Rank Distribution for July 2025 after the release of version 2.03.1 and the brand new character Fakhurham. Find out where your rank places you globally, plus the highest and lowest pick rates and win rates for the 38 characters.

Tekken 8 Rank Distribution (version 2.3.1)
The Tekken 8 Rank Distribution saw a drastic shift over the course of Season 1. However, things have stabilized in Season 2, even after the launch version 2.03.1 in July 2025.
The most common rank in Tekken 8 remain Fujin, the first blue rank, with 12% of all players. Following changes to ranked matchmaking in Season 2, Fujin is also the first rank where you do not receive bonuses for win streaks, making it a tough rank to get out of. (Learn more about Tekken 8 Ranks)

Overall Blue rank remains the baseline, with 38% of all players sitting in one of the four blue ranks; Fujin, Raijin, Kishin and Bushin. These stats are based only on player ranks with their main, and ignores side picks which might warp the data. If we count all characters then Blue rank still represents 33%.
Blue Rank therefore remains intermediate level rank. Reaching Bushin (Blue 4) would put you in the top 20% of all players. However, once you reach the Gold ranks you’re into the top 5-10% of all players.

What does my Tekken 8 rank mean?
If you’re trying to work out where your rank sits in terms of skill, this is a rough breakdown:
- Brown to Red – Beginner
- Purple Rank – Novice
- Blue Rank – Intermediate
- Gold Rank – Advanced
Important: Your character choice will also impact how quickly you can climb through the ranks. Picking a popular character such as Jin, Kazuya or Bryan means your opponents will have faced them more often, meaning you can’t rely on knowledge checks.
On the other hand, picking a low pick rate character such as Zafina, Panda or Claudio will give you an edge as less players will be familiar with their combos and move set. If you find yourself stuck, consider playing a character you frequently lose against to learn the match-up.

Version 2.3.1: Fakhurham popularity and win rate
Fakhurham was added in version 2.03.1 as the second DLC character of Season 2. As expected for a new character his win-rate is inflated, but will likely drop as more players grow accustomed to the match-up. After the first two weeks of version 2.03.1 Fakhurham sits at a 55.5% win rate. The closest character is Panda with a 52.4% win rate, who remains the least picked character in the entire roster.
Don’t be too afraid of Fakhurham though. When Clive released in Winter of 2024 he had also had a 55% win rate and was the #1 most popular pick. However, in version 2.03.1 (July 2025) his win rate has dropped to 49.5% and he is one of the 8 least picked characters.

Claudio | 50.7% | 1.06% (#34 of 38) |
Feng | 50.6% | 1.34% (#27 of 38) |
Outside of new addition Fakhurham, Lars is the only character to have both a relatively high pick rate (top 20) while maintaining a high win rate.
Prior to Season 2, Lars was a mid to low tier character. However, buffs in Season 2 to his frames, Heat and homing moves led to a rise in popularity and win-rate. It’s a pity he’s such a frustrating character to play against…
Character Win rates
Finally here is an overview of the Character Win rates. A big standout stat is that Reina has the lowest win rate of any character at 47.7%, despite being the #9 most picked character. Likewise King and Kazuya who are in the top 3 most picked characters also have a win rate below 50%. Both are iconic characters but require high execution, making them hard characters to master.
The big changes in win rates are to Zafina and Anna, who both fell out of the top 10. Zafina’s win rate dropped 1.5% in version 2.03.1, taking her from #2 to #11.
