With a simple query the Alienware brand broke the hearts of gamers everywhere while it queried on Twitter: “Name something missing in your setup…” And oh my, the responses poured in like all those dreams crashing down by the weight of an empty wallet. Something classy: Alienware battlestation for display. Some gamers even went on to mentioning everything from actual missing setups to lacking free time to sit down and enjoy the game.
One of the big things that was mentioned was that there were no PCs. It almost feels like a crying: “The absence of rigs,” said one. “The pc 😢💚👽,” said Netin, with Gary brutally honest: “I mean everything but most notably a decent PC 🤣.” Rubber, another soul sad into the void, said quietly: “I…dont have one😅😔.”
Another reason gamers rushed over to their keyboards to cry was time or the absence of it. Jess Marshall said it best: “Time ….never enough time to enjoy it!” Blaine The Pain 🧡⚡said: “Me I need more time to be there to game. 🙌” Because what’s more fun with a killer setup than the never-ending grind of an adult?
Then, the gamers had the fundamentals but chased just a little more finesse. Cbapp96 showed us they were suffering, “I’m missing a good monitor and graphics card, need something to let my 13600k stretch its legs.” While Doryan wished for “A new mechanical keyboard with RGB and some sweet ASMR to it.” Because if your keyboard doesn’t sound like a rainstick in mechanical symphony, are you even gaming?
Some were just straight-up wish lists. Knox Berryhill nonchalantly rattled off “A 5k2k monitor” as if it was no biggie, whereas Lokura_Doncic had its sights on “Alienware 32 4K QD-OLED Gaming Monitor – AW3225QF.” Then there was Jackson Cheung blowing his load with “A free 32” Alienware 4K QD-OLED gaming monitor!” Hey, shoot your shot, right?
And another real kicker? Players looked at Alienware’s tweet and sighed as if it were for the whole of their existence. “All of that stuff,” said gotenks1, with Steve Oyervidez outright asking: “Can I have one?” And then there was citizen, forced with the heartbreaking: “All my Setup … I want to play but I dont have money 🥺.”
Of course, not everyone was in despair. GrandpaGamer61 threw it back with “But I have 2 other Alienware Desktops and an A51 Thread Ripper laptop,” and white_knight018 declared proudly about their very first PC, the Aurora R12. For every flex, though, there were like five fleas staring at sad setups asking when the gaming gods would bless them.
So what’s the takeaway? Gamers are out here struggling-anywhere from being short on hardware, lacking time to just play, or in straight-down financial despair. But hey, at least there is one thing we will all come together on: our collective suffering. And who knows? Maybe one day, every one of us will have a dream Alienware battlestation. Until then, it’s back to crying softly behind the pics of Alienware, sitting on our non-RGB keyboards.
