Amplifying Women’s Voices in Data Leadership workshop co-hosted by Women in Big Data Berlin and Thoughtworks

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for the “Amplifying Women’s Voices in Data Leadership” workshop co-hosted by Women in Big Data Berlin and Thoughtworks. Together with participants we explored what it truly means to lead with confidence in the data space. The room was filled with vibrant conversations, practical learning, and authentic connection.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, one participant even travelled from Munich just to attend! The energy and engagement in the room showed how much this space was needed. At the end of the evening, participants presented their findings and takeaways on stage, showcasing not just what they learned but how they plan to apply it.
This was more than just a series of talks, it was a hands-on, interactive workshop format that gave everyone the opportunity to learn, immerse, share ideas, and exchange experiences in an inclusive and empowering environment.
We were honored to learn from a stellar line-up of speakers and workshop facilitators:
Katarzyna (Kasia) Stoltmann & Aliya Boranbayeva
Workshop: Bias-Free AI-Driven End-to-End Solutions & Personal Branding in Data
Kasia and Aliya tackled two critical challenges in tech: creating ethical, inclusive AI systems and building a strong personal brand as a woman in data. They encouraged attendees to take ownership of their narrative and lead with purpose and authenticity in digital spaces.
Amy Raygada
Workshop: From Data Strategy to Seat at the Table
Amy shared actionable insights on how to align data work with business outcomes and translate data into influence. Her workshop empowered attendees to reframe their roles and become key drivers of business success through data leadership.
Maria Beiner
Workshop: Developing a Data-Driven Leadership Mindset
Maria guided the group through real-world pricing and product strategy examples to show how data can drive smart, agile leadership. She emphasized mindset shifts that move professionals from analysis to impact. Her tools offered participants a clear path to lead decisively in data-rich environments and communicate insights with confidence.
Neil Metzler
Workshop: Our Crisis of Trust Calls on Allies to Champion Inclusion & Belonging
Neil delivered a bold and necessary call to action: true leadership today means fostering trust, inclusion, and allyship. His interactive session challenged participants to reflect on their role in building workplaces where everyone feels seen and valued. He urged leaders and allies to show up intentionally, build bridges, and create cultures of belonging that last.
From keynote inspiration to practical up-skilling, this evening wasn’t just about learning – it was about amplifying. Amplifying our voices, our networks, our impact.
Thank you to all speakers, attendees, and the teams at Thoughtworks and Women in Big Data Berlin who made this night so impactful. Ágata Baú, Yulia Tokareva, Itai Yaffe.
