Over the weekend, Atlus celebrated the one-year anniversary of its critically acclaimed RPG Metaphor: ReFantazio with a special livestream event. The broadcast, now available on the Atlus West YouTube channel and Steam, featured reflections from the development team, appearances by voice actors and fans, and a commemorative illustration from character designer Shigenori Soejima, which is available through a special giveaway.
The Guidebook Edition Unveiled
During the event, Atlus announced the Metaphor: ReFantazio – Guidebook Edition, a digital-only release coming to Xbox Series X|S, Windows, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam in early 2026. This new edition celebrates the game’s milestone year with a comprehensive package for fans and newcomers alike.
The Guidebook Edition includes:
- Digital Base Game
- Essential Digital Strategy Guide (55 pages) – A curated excerpt from Future Press’s 592-page official guide, carefully re-edited for digital use.
- Digital Artbook – Featuring concept art, sketches, and commentary from the developers.
- Digital Soundtrack – Immerse yourself in the world of Metaphor: ReFantazio with its stunning music.
- Two DLC Costume Sets – Shujin Academy and Jouin High School Uniform Sets, each featuring unique battle BGMs and victory jingles inspired by their respective series.
Additionally, players who own the Atlus 35th Digital Anniversary Edition at the time of the Guidebook Edition’s release will receive the digital strategy guide for free.
