Hosting a panel about programming NES games in assembly, Grayson Wendell will be a Special Guest at this summer’s Fire & Ice RGX 2025 event.
A Conjuror of Code at Sleepy Bits Games (check out Old Oak Lane!), Grayson Wendell brings with him decades of experience. He has previously working as a programmer at id Software, and has since worked at Zynga, GREE, EA, Unity, and Activision.
During his Fire & Ice RGX 2025 event panel “NES Code Crash Course,” attendees will be able to travel back to the 80s as they learn how to program their own NES games in 6502 assembly!
Available resources will be run through, and an open source example project will also be provided to let attendees hit the ground running.
On that note, no prior experience, notebook, or laptop is required!
