The International Esports Federation (IESF) is proud to announce that the World Esports Championships 2025 (WEC25) in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) will be hosted by the Malaysia Esports Federation (MESF) in Kuala Lumpur from 1–7 December 2025.
The Malaysia Esports Federation will bring together 20 nations and 28 national teams, with 16 teams
competing in the MLBB Open and 12 teams in the MLBB Women’s division. The distribution of slots
across continents is designed to ensure fair representation and balanced competition, reflecting IESF’s
mission of inclusivity and integrity in the World of Esports.
“Malaysia took the initiative to bring this event to Kuala Lumpur, and we are truly proud to be the host of
WEC25 MLBB. This is a historic moment for our nation’s esports community, and we look forward to
showcasing our ability to organize an event of this scale. We are confident that, with the full support of
IESF, this championship will inspire athletes and fans alike while leaving a lasting legacy for esports in
Malaysia,” said Muhammad Naim Al Amin Bin Saharudin, President of the Malaysia Esports
Federation.
“We are thrilled to confirm Kuala Lumpur as the host city for WEC25 MLBB, under the leadership of
MESF. This event highlights IESF’s mission to unite nations and strengthen esports worldwide, with 20
nations and 28 teams competing across both Open and Women’s divisions. We believe WEC25 MLBB will
set a new standard of excellence while celebrating the spirit of fair competition,” said Boban Totovski,
General Secretary of the International Esports Federation.
While MLBB will take center stage this December, all other official WEC titles will follow in the first half
of 2026, with host city and dates to be announced soon. This step allows IESF to deliver the highest
standards of excellence while safeguarding the esports ecosystem for future generations.
WEC25 MLBB promises a week of unforgettable moments, showcasing the highest level of skill, strategy,
and teamwork. As the world’s top Mobile Legends players gather in Kuala Lumpur, the championship will
not only crown the best teams but also celebrate the spirit of esports
