OG Esports Joins Honor of Kings Esports

OG Esports is making a bold move. They are entering the world of Honor of Kings. On Monday, March 3, 2025, OG Esports announced they are forming a team for this popular mobile game. They will also be a partner for Western Europe in the Honor of Kings esports scene for 2025.

This is a first for OG Esports. They are well-known in PC esports, especially for Dota 2. Now, they are expanding into mobile gaming with Honor of Kings. This shows how big mobile esports is becoming.

OG Esports Expands to Mobile Gaming

Johan “N0tail” Sundstein, co-founder of OG Esports, shared the news on social media. He is excited for OG to join Honor of Kings. Sundstein is a legend in esports. He won The International in Dota 2 twice. He also has earned the most prize money in esports history.

“We are very happy to enter Honor of Kings esports,” said Sundstein. He wants to share OG’s experience and help the team succeed.

Daniel Sanders, the new CEO of OG Esports, also spoke about this move. He said China is a key area for OG to grow. Sanders used to work at Tencent Games, the company behind Honor of Kings. Honor of Kings: A Global Esports Game

Honor of Kings is a huge mobile game, especially in China. It is made by Tencent Games. The game is a mobile Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA). It is one of the biggest mobile esports in the world.

Honor of Kings is also part of the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia in 2025. The Honor of Kings tournament at the World Cup in 2024 had a $3 million prize pool.

Level Infinite, also owned by Tencent, is in charge of Honor of Kings esports plans for 2025. They are investing $15 million to launch new leagues in six regions. These leagues will be qualifiers for the Esports World Cup.

OG Esports will compete in the Honor of Kings Major West League (KMW). This is a new league for Western Europe. More details about the league are coming soon. However, we know teams can qualify through the Honor of Kings Major West League 2025 Spring Qualifier in March.

What to Expect from OG Esports in Honor of Kings

The rules for the Honor of Kings Major West League say teams need to have at least five players, and up to seven. Most players must be from Europe. Only one player can be from outside Europe. At least two players must be from the country OG Esports represents.
